This year Tully Hill celebrates its 30th year of providing substance use disorder treatment and care. On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Tully Hill Corporation, the Tully Hill Foundation and our staff, I thank you for your past and continuing support. We are enormously grateful. We are all experiencing an extraordinary time as we walk our way through the challenges of COVID-19. As a result we have decided our best and safest decision this year is to cancel our Annual Dinner celebration at the facility scheduled for October 22, 2020. We are however, creating a short video to be released in October which highlights some of our 30 year history.
We have remained open as an essential service since the COVID-19 pandemic arrived in Central New York in March. Although the pandemic has severely impacted our admissions this year we will have treated 18,875 patients since our opening October 3, 1990. We have continued to embrace our mission, vision and values as we provide excellent care for our patients and families suffering from this devastating disease.
Sharing our personal stories is important for those of us in recovery. Please consider anonymously sharing your Tully Hill testimonial with us. It is our hope that your message of strength and hope will encourage and inspire others. You are not alone in your recovery. Tully Hill remains committed to our patients, their families and the communities we serve.

Tully Hill strives to ensure that each and every patient admitted to our Inpatient and Outpatient services and programs meets his or her treatment plan goals. Since opening in October 1990, we have helped over 18,000 patients and their families realize those goals, and start their journey to recovery. Through the first half of 2020, as we celebrate our 30th year of providing only the best treatment and care, we continue ensuring that patients and families are restored, evidenced by 93% of our patients in detox meeting their treatment goals, 82% achieving their overall treatment goals (detox and Inpatient rehab), and 84% reporting no drug use whatsoever since being discharged. Tully Hill was one of eight participants involved in a three year, National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) Outcomes Pilot Program, aimed at testing a standardized outcomes tracking tool for the addiction treatment field. The project resulted in the Outcomes Measurement Toolkit: The Addiction Treatment Provider Guide in Standardized Outcomes Measurement, which was formatted into a Guide and provided to NAATP members. As one of the few treatment facilities to maintain and make available accurate, current outcomes data, we maintain our commitment to and understand the value of transparency. Because of the quality of its services and programs and its treatment outcomes, Tully Hill has again achieved re-certification/licensure for another 3 years for its medically supervised detox and Inpatient rehabilitation levels of care. We also have received local, state, and national BC BS Association designation as a Blue Distinction Center for Substance Use Treatment and Recovery, signifying that Tully Hill’s substance use treatment and recovery programs meet nationally established BC BS Association selection criteria by demonstrating expertise in delivering multidisciplinary, patient-centered, evidence-based care with a commitment to quality and value.
